To You can add a the DAO token to the watchlist of the MIST Wallet, you have to know the address of the token contract. Watching a token does not have any effect on the blockchain, its just watching! Watching a the DAO token with MIST has an additional effect. If you own a tokenDAO tokens, the token will be indicated on the wallet page together with the account owning the token.

As an example, we'll show how to watch a token with the Ethereum Foundations Unicorn token. More information on the background of the token can be found on the Ethereum Homepage.

To add the Unicorn DAO Token to your watch list, the following steps are necessary:

  1. Open MIST Wallet and click on the "Contracts" tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Watch Token.

  3. Add the address

     and the remaining information will be loaded automatically.

     As Token Name, you can use "The DAO", and as symbol "DAO". Decimal places is "16".

  4. Click Ok and your token will be added.
